Naitch
And, to add to metalman's point, those two leagues presumably make a lot more TV money than the likes of Port Vale to offset any losses they might make from not having a betting company as a sponsor. Bring back sponsors like Autoglass and JVC!

If you're some shady foreign firm trying to hook in consumers in your own country you're not going to get too far by sponsoring Port Vale. There are some in the Premier League but more in the Championship who aren't making anywhere near the TV money. Very few below that level, though of course the whole EFL is sponsored by Skybet... They shouldn't have done that in the first place and alternatives are clearly available. It's not like they're going to lose all sponsorship income. They just can just find a sponsor that isn't a bookie.
Adam
There is no football club in this country that will go bust without a gambling shirt sponsorship. There are always other companies wanting to get involved in football, especially locally as you go further down the leagues.
DFF
Do you think they'd outlaw it overnight? Or more likely just put in a 'no new deals or renewals may be made'?
METALMAN
Yeah they’d grandfather it. It would be a breach of the government’s guidelines on regulating business to impose that kind of burden on them
