Champions League 2013/14

Adequate away result. Disappointing in the sense of just how open Galatasaray were in the first half-hour and how further advantage was not taken. Also that a player other than Drogba scored for them. :shifty:

Also irritation in the way that the referee spent most of the game handing out free passes to the home players, particularly Melo who ought to have been booked about four times but appeared to have special immunity of some sort. At least that kind of BS won't be repeated outside of Istanbul.

Fully expect a win at the Bridge next month to progress.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is given a three-game Uefa touchline ban, one suspended for two years. Pellegrini's ban starts with his team's round of 16 second leg against Barcelona in Spain on 12 March.
A Uefa statement reads: "This means that Pellegrini may follow the game from the stands only; he may not enter the dressing room, tunnel or technical area before or during the match."
Pellegrini was charged by Uefa for "violation of the general principles of conduct" after he reacted to a 2-0 first-leg loss to Barcelona earlier this month by strongly criticising referee Jonas Eriksson.
