How does the Europa League winner getting a Champions League spot work exactly? Does it take a spot away from the winning country?

Do they just go into a Pot based on their coefficient or do they enter a certain pot because they won the Europa League.

Got a strong feeling Sevilla will become the record holders after tonight. Dnipro will be a tough team to face though. They are 3rd atm, think there is one game left but Shakhtar are 2 points ahead and have a +20 goal difference in their favour.
