Colly
They couldn't find a colour photo of Bryan Robson? How old am I?
The Lusophone
Some of the people included in the list of selectable players have no right to be there. Anyway, mine I guess: Spoiler
Colly
I tried to make an all Newcastle one but gave up before I had to pick Sol Campbell.
Bobfoc
Picking someone alongside Lineker and Greaves in a 4-3-3 formation is tough. My Notts County bias prompts me to go with Tommy Lawton.

Adam
Having not seen any of the players pre-90s I'd struggle to pick guys like Moore or Charlton, even though I'm sure they were great. Will have a go at a team that's best of the past 20+ years in a bit.
Adam
The long-lost to choose from was rubbish. Some missing who I'd have there, some in who definitely shouldn't be. As it is, my stab at a team of the last 25 of so years is this: Gazza will have to play left wing. Nevermind.
The Lusophone
Terry over Rio is controversial.
Colly
There's something truly brilliant about taking the turn of the century issue of 'how do we accommodate Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes', solving it by playing a modern 3 man midfield, then sticking Gazza in Scholeseys now vacant left wing spot that I love. But can't like as I've ran out of reactions. 1
Naitch
Reading on Scholes' wiki that he retired from international football in 2004 is mind-boggling.
Bobfoc
I was surprised at the time. He'd have been useful at the 2006 World Cup.
Adam
Alan Shearer retired from England early in 2000 as well to prolong his playing career after a bad injury. He went on to score another 120 goals for Newcastle in his career.
MDK
I am a product of my environment and my personal England squad is basically the '96 squad. SAS up top? Shearer, the archetypal centre forward with Shezza as the 9. Gazza, for all of his flaws, is for me the best "what-if" for England. Ince and Batty. Or Platt in the middle. Sicknote, Redknapp or Barmby on the wings. Adams, Campbell, or Southgate with Peace and Neville.

Adam
I think EWB could beat this Montenegro team if the first 25 minutes are anything to go by.
Gazz
If you had to pick a 23 now for the Euros, who would it be, assuming everyone is fit? This would be mine, with the first XI (4-3-3) right to left in brackets Quote GK 3 (Pickford), Pope, Heaton DF 8 (TAA, Stones, Maguire, Chilwell), AWB, Walker, Gomez, Rose MF 6 (Henderson, Mount, AOC), Rice, Maddison, Winks AT 6 (Rashford, Kane, Sterling), Sancho, Abraham, CHO
TCO
Found out today that if England win their group then they'll be playing their last 16 game in Dublin. What lovely homecoming that will be for young Declan. Half the crowd will be Irish fans I reckon!
