Admin Lineker Posted November 14, 2014 Author Admin Report Share Posted November 14, 2014 Talking of Caterham - their administrator has confirmed that they will race in Abu Dhabi. Fuck knows who'll drive for them though. Powell/Palmer?
Chris2K
I miss Pacific. They were really bad but the effort was there. As for Caterham I am stunned they're racing. I actually expect a female driver in the second seat just for the novelty value.
Gazz
She wouldn't be in the second seat anyway as she doesn't have a SuperLicense. Have they even confirmed that they will be running two cars?
Katsuya
By rights they have to.
JasonM
Luca Badoer for a third disasterous stint! On a more serious note, maybe there's a chance that one of the big three let a youth driver get a shot in a Caterham. It's not much, but any experience is good. And I'd love to see a guy like Frijns or Stoffel get a drive, even if it's only for one race. Edited November 14, 2014 by Jasonmufc

Rafael
Massa is better than Valtteri Bottas. Alright, alright, I'm leaving. Edited November 15, 2014 by RafaelFms
Katsuya
So Caterham have made 230 staff redundant. Apparently they're bringing 40 people to Abu Dhabi. I kind of feel this is all a bit for nought and could end up horrendously embarrassing.
Chris2K
Raising money for one race with absolutely no intention of competing the next season is already embarrassing, I would hazard a guess that a lot of the people that donated were doing so to keep them going for the next season, not just for a jolly-up in Dubai. Gazz
Kamui has been confirmed as one of the drivers for Caterham. Why do I get the feeling that they are going to retire the cars as early as possible in the race, in case anything goes bang and can't be sold later on? Admin Lineker Posted November 17, 2014 Author Admin Report Share Posted November 17, 2014 Roberto Merhi has said that he will be in the second seat; nothing from the team yet. Andre Lotterer has declined a drive.
Admin Lineker Posted November 17, 2014 Author Admin Report Share Posted November 17, 2014 Gary Paffett will end his role as a McLaren Formula 1 test and reserve driver after the 2014 season. The split coincides with McLaren switch from Mercedes to Honda engines, with Paffett remaining part of the German manufacturer's factory DTM programme. Paffett has been part of McLaren's roster since 2006, combining his F1 duties with racing in the DTM for most of that period.
Katsuya
Apparently Max Chilton might be driving for them. Daddy's money is worth something still! Also: if Red Bull were clever, they'd put Verstappen in the car and just let him continue to get experience...
Chris2K
If Red Bull were deliciously evil they'd send Seb to race in the Caterham and promote Kvyatt and Verstappen
