If he takes some time out to recharge, I think he could easily land at a Premier League club in the middle of next season.

Were he and Sean Dyche the longest-serving managers in the top four leagues then at this point? I think it was around 2012 that Dyche replaced Howe at Burnley and Howe went back to Bournemouth for his second spell in charge.

Here's the top ten:

Name Nat. Date of birth Club Division Appointed Time as manager Ref(s)

I didn’t realise that Klopp had been there longer than Guardiola. But how sad is it that Klopp is the second longest reigning manager in the premier league, let alone the fourth in football league, while the guy is an absolute treasure and won his first title this year. Makes you wonder who the other teams (other than City) think they really are and who are really going to do the job.

Suck on that, Ainsworth?

Maddison and his friends were fairly well known for being drunken knobheads on nights out in Norwich. I can only presume his ego inflates tenfold after a few shots. There was even a court case loosely involving him, where I think a few of his mates supposedly beat someone up for disrespecting him.

What an awful collection of teams to get promoted this year.

I know fuck all about Brentford but I always like a new team to get a shot in the prem so I feel bad for them.

Boooo on you.

West Brom are the worst. I'd rather Brentford had gone up than them.

People have been laying into Ozil on Twitter as well, but really, a club their size shouldn't have to make those kind of layoffs. And it's those who made that decision who should be blamed, not Ozil.

I agree. He has a contract and no loyalty to the people or the club, he’d happily take the same amount of money elsewhere and if someone wants to pay him, sure. But they don’t, because he’s on silly money.

Supposedly they're about to give Willian a 3 year contract on whatever kind of money a 31-yr-old international gets in this day and age (maybe similar to what David Luiz is on?).

Probably more than the 2mil a year they’re saving by sacking all these other people I imagine?
