Steam/PC Mega Thread 2023

That is tempting. Just looking at it and it seems like the majority of people say the way to go is get the base model and just get your own SSD or MicroSD. You end up with more space for the same or even less money as the premium models.

I think it was Tristy that got one last year and was very happy with it?

The Tiny Tina spin off game is free on Steam as well right now.

EDIT: Actually that would be the One Shot Adventure game which is a separate thing apparently. I haven't kept up with this series after 2.

Me sticking it to the man. In the center is the Country Club. To it's north a military base, to it's south, the water towers, Supermax and Toxic Waste Disposal. It's flanked by Recycling Centers, Waster to Energy Incinerators and nine fusion power plants. The water supply for this area is cut off from the main town's water, for the express purpose of running the main water line through the Toxic plant first, and then all around through the nasty shit, until finally, the line ends at the Country Club with all that gloriously polluted water.

I don't know what's worse on Steam; the fact that someone/someones made a porn game or the fact that people might spend money on them. And I do mean porn, not porn with plot/plot with porn.

It's surprisingly easy to get emulators up and running on the Steam Deck. Being able to play so many games on the go is awesome. It'll mostly just be Mario Party for me, but it's great.

I think there is a certain point where it becomes a bit more faffy but that's only really around now recent stuff. Like, the PS3 stuff seems a bit complicated and a minefield of compatibility but I want the novelty of Demons Souls on the go.

The admittedly minor annoyance for me is the different standalone emulators having their own hotkeys so you're never sure how to get into settings and the like. Especially when you need them in those layer generations when you have to tweak settings to optimise everything. For the stuff in Retroarch it's all uniform, I can just click both the sticks and I'm in. Just having those uniform controls with a nice front end like Emudeck makes life easier.

I've got 3 and had some good fun with it. Got Planetfall too which I enjoyed but haven't played as much of. There's quite a lot of customisation available in there as well so once you're familiar with it you can play around with things and  come up with ideas to play around with. It looks like 4 is going to be taking that up a level or two in scale with the hybrid RPG/4X design. In Planetfall your games can carry over elements in to the next one as you build up your empire across different worlds - or in the case of AoW4 I guess regions of the planet because fantasy rather than sci-fi - which adds an element of long term development around every game with progress carrying on (things like discovering powerful artefacts to use in future games).

I assume you're rocking Sentinels of Earth Prime, @Maxx?

I wasn't too sure myself when I heard it announced - maybe on a sale, but when I saw that it integrates with all of the other Sentinels stuff if you have both installed I was INSTANTLY interested.

Yeah I’ll be picking it up, as I know my friend that I usually play it with will get it as he buys all of them.  Will be nice to have more heroes to get obliterated by Oblivaeon as well <_<

It seems really good so far, some well thought out heroes. I hope this means that they'll go back and update some of the OG characters as the Definitive versions keep coming out - some of the streamlining of their powers made some of them more interesting to play versus the original versions.
