UEFA Champions League 2022/23

Seen it properly and it looks like Kanes toe is just ahead of the ball when Royal heads it back. In which case it seems fair enough.

Spurs probably should have won it on the last... 20 minutes or so of play but their best chances fell to Dier. The first hour and a bit though was totally shite.

Can somebody confirm if the head to head rule still works the same as in previous seasons?

Before, it used to be if two teams are level on points, it'd go to the head to head results, goal difference, goals scored and away goals scored - some places are still stating that but one site was saying that if Juve lose to PSG and Maccabi lose too, they're through because of the GD. But in actual head to heads, Maccabi should finish above Juve (3-1 Juve, 2-0 Maccabi, so 3 scored each but Maccabi have an away goal), so I'm confused by it since the away goal rule in knockouts was removed.

I don't think they count away goals on head-to-heads, so they are effectively tied on that.

Yeah, it was cleared up during the Europa coverage last night. Away goals for head to heads are gone now that the rule itself has, so it goes to the GD in both matches before looking at the team's overall GD.

We can't match the 1-0 Sociedad beat us at OT by because they have a better overall GD, so it's win by 2+ or face a CL dropout.

Juve should be fine.

Between this and a game against an out of form Liverpool - everything is geared up perfectly for a visit from Doctor Tottenham to strike.

We're shite. You'll be sound against us

Nunez getting a goal and a hand in the first.

A good game to watch, end to end and both teams put up a good fight. Took way too long to rule their goal for offside like, I know it was very very marginal but still.

Meanwhile, Rangers finish their group stage with 0 points and -20 in goal difference and are now officially the worst group stage team in history.

In contrast, Plzeň finished with 0 points and -19 in a group that included Inter, Bayern and Barça.

Amazingly, there are teams that have finished on -20 and -22 goal difference in the past, but what's different is that despite those goal differences, both Malmo and BATE managed to win a game (beating Shakhtar and Athletic Bilbao), finishing on 3 points each with such awful goal differences.

Chelsea are already guaranteed top and have Arsenal to play at the weekend, but apparently Potter dgaf because it's nearly a first eleven (Azpi and Zakaria being the only obvious exceptions).

Ah well, might be a decent exhibition match then.
