There's a reason pundits are pundits and not in actual worthwhile football employment as a coach, manager etc. and that's because they know fuck all about football.

Gary Neville was a good footballer and pundit!

Neville is the exception, he actually understands the tactical side of the game. Maybe it's because he was a defender or worked for so long under SAF. But Shearer, Wright, Townsend, Hoddle, Savage etc. don't know fuck all.

A guy who adds excitement to his punditry by SHOUTING AS LOUD AS HE CAN.

I remember Collymore wouldn't stop going on about the way Aguero went down in one game. Kept going on about how he went down like a starfish for 60/70 minutes. .

The reason why alot of top footballers don't go into management now is because they are financially set for life and don't need the hassle of it.

 

That or they'll be get paid a shed load of cash to be a pundit
