Rich
I understand why, believe me, but supporting the UFC in what they are doing doesn't tend to Dana et al, fucking you over, it tends to make them so happy they reward the fans
Noah
I only just realised that Mark Hominick had retired a year ago. Just loved the Aldo fight and I just wanted to see him win once live but he lost every fight that I was able to see.
Benjamin
So with the year winding down, got any thoughts on Fighter of the Year? For me, it boils down to 3 guys: Mighty Mouse (3 successful title defenses), Urijah Faber (4 wins in 2013 against top contenders) or Weidman if he wins (beats the GOAT twice in a year). Cymbols
Mighty Mouse for me. Or Vitor Belfort, he's had a storming year. Honourable mentions- Chad Mendes, Robbie Lawlor, Matt Brown, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Renan Barao.
Your Mom
Mighty Mouse! Not just because I like his nickname either
HC
Belfort is getting the next MW title shot, right? I hope if Silva wins they don't pass him over for that Roy Jones Jr. nonsense.
EddieG
MMA Veteran Joe Camacho died this morning after a heart attack, only 42.

Benjamin
UFC 167 reportedly did between 600k and 650k buys. St Pierre's lowest since 08. Still, buys as a whole have been horrible since the Mayweather fight, and GSP outsold Pacquiao who fought the week before. Really interesting to see if 168 gets a lower than estimated number as well. And I'm not talking Dana White estimated.
Rich
Buy rates really don't mean as much as they used to. When UFC's model was all about pay per views it made the difference, but they have moved to free tv, they have the dedicated sports channel in south america, mainstream free tv coverage in Brazil pulling in huge numbers and now the new subscription site for some of the non-US cards, I suspect that the income from PPV buys is not as important as it used to be. JasonM
I think 168 will get a good number to close the year, we got two title matches that are sure to get the attention of even moderate fans. And then you have a very strong pre-pre-main event fight in Barnett Vs. Browne. Even the FS1 pre-card has a nice lineup to watch.
gunnar hendershow
PPV is going out as a medium, UFC is one example but the WWE Network is going to be another example of PPV being phased out in importance and being replaced with monthly subscription fees. Your Mom
I know it will be getting one less buy. We were going to get it but are going out next weekend instead. Was interested in the show but I'm sure there will be another good one soon enough
HC
The only times I've ever paid(helped to pay, that is) for a UFC PPV were 100 and 116 with Lesnar. There's not really a point given the amount of free television they put out. If I hear there's a good fight on a PPV card, I'll try and catch it whenever it hits Youtube. If there's a main event I really want to see live, I have other means.
Your Mom
Other means
HC
Other means Buffalo Wild Wings, obviously.
Rich
According to Dana White err'body wants to see Vitor vs Weidman/Anderson winner... I am still shrugging personally, what's everybody else's feelings on the matter?
Benjamin
I really want to see Anderson and Vitor once again, and in fact if Silva stays at 185 if he loses to Weidman, I think that's the fight that should happen, while Machida or Jacare fight Weidman. This is all if Weidman wins, of course. That's just the fight fan in me talking though.
gunnar hendershow
Other means Buffalo Wild Wings, obviously. This is how I watch all my UFC PPVs. Much cheaper than paying for it on my own.
