Spectacular game. It was as if Crosby heard all the people unnecessarily bitching about his performance in the tournament and Kunitz wanted to shut the naysayers up about why he was there. The two of them played amazingly.

I was explaining it to my coworker that it looked like he just wanted to shove his head into the fire and end it all, and some dude overheard us, laughed out loud, and said that when you heard it described aloud it sounds absurd, but if you watched it that was pretty much what happened.

So the Paralympic Opening Ceremony is underway, and Ukraine are set to compete, although they warn any further escalation politically would lead to them pulling out of the games.

Australia's flag bearer and four-time Paralympian had a nasty fall a few days before the opening ceremony. He cancelled one event and still marched out on crutches hoping to compete, but unfortunately had to pull out altogether.

On a lighter note, it was great to see the Russian crowd really get behind the Ukrainian flag bearer even though he had to go out there on his own due to the political unrest.

The Winter Paralympics is insane.

The skiiers have absolute balls of steel, as they're speeding down a slope with blacked out goggles with just a guide saying brief instructions.

Also, ice-sledge hockey is badass.
