For around the £12mil mark, someone in the Premier League should definitely take a punt on him. Especially with QPR still being deluded enough to think that they're going to get £15mil for Austin with one year left on his deal.

Are Blackburn still under a transfer embargo because of financial fair play? It's always annoying when your team's best players leave, but £12 million sounds as though it would help financial matters significantly.

Middlesbrough have made some big signings, have clear intent to get to the Premier League in the next year and nearly did it last season. Blackburn perhaps don't look as capable really. Plus, Rhodes' uncle is Steve Agnew who I believe is Boro's assistant manager now, he might've had some influence.
