Finally gotten past the playoff voodou!! Now you've got another final to go to and try to win. Plymouth scored a 91st minute goal to beat Pompey 1-0 at home and thus go through 3-2 on aggregate. Gutted for me mate who supports Pompey.
The Lusophone
So happy for Argyle and assorted family members who have been associated with the club for decades. From bust in 2011 to Wembley in 2016, and hopefully back up to League One. Need to try to get tickets.
GA!
Amazing to think we'll be playing two teams who have been in the Premier League during our exile next season. (Well, Portsmouth were in it for about one more week before they were relegated, but still...)
Admin Lineker Posted May 16, 2016 Author Admin Report Share Posted May 16, 2016 Brighton super unlucky not to half the overall defecti there.
Adam
They should be about 10-0 up, including the fact Wednesday's goal should have been disallowed.
Admin Lineker Posted May 16, 2016 Author Admin Report Share Posted May 16, 2016 Shame for Brighton. Hopefully they can go again and go up automatically next season. Wednesday to win at Wembley, please. Because fuck Hull.
Adam
For fuck's sake. Now I have to hope Hull win the play offs. Miserable.
Admin Lineker Posted May 16, 2016 Author Admin Report Share Posted May 16, 2016 Crazy stat - no team since the first world war has only lost five games in the regular season and not been promoted from English football’s second tier.

Admin Lineker Posted May 17, 2016 Author Admin Report Share Posted May 17, 2016 Valient effort from Derby but ultimately not enough. Yorkshire derby now at Wembley for a place in the Premier League.
Just Joe
Hope to see Wednesday do it, last thing The Premier League needs is Bruce back in it, absolute charlatan that he is.
The Lusophone
Bruce is great, but I too would prefer Wednesday back in the Premier League.
Just Joe
I don't like him for the way he conducted himself after he was deservedly sacked by us. Came out and whinged and moaned to the press saying he got sacked because he was a Geordie. No, it was because he had only won 4 games in 12 months. He had a fantastic squad, most of which he inherited and they were all sold off and he brought in sub par replacements. He wasn't and still isn't man enough to own up to his own shortcomings and failures and uses his mates in the papers to perpetuate the myth that he was sacked by Sunderland and forced out by the fans because he used to support Newcastle as a child. Absolute bollocks considering we have a Statue of Bob Stokoe outside The Stadium of Light. He just wasn't good enough a manager in the end.
