Does the pre-order allow access to the Stadium Stampede or is that a whole seperate deal entirely?

Stadium Stampede was found during some data-mining and is likely just going to be post-launch content. It looks like it has a Battle Pass and will probably be the major online mode for the game, so it's hard to say whether it will be a free content update or paid DLC. It could go either way, as Stadium Stampede and the Battle Pass look like their "money mode", like an Ultimate Team mode in a sports game, so it wouldn't be shocking if it's a free update, but there's no guarantee.

The Elite Edition is guaranteed to give you the already announced DLC. It's likely that any future DLC will be part of an additional season's pass or passes, depending on how long the game is supported with new content.

I've just been screwing around in one on one matches so far, sitting with an 0-2 record because I'm trying to focus on learning the block/reversal system and having a hard time figuring that out.

I can see myself playing this a lot, especially as something that I can just throw on when I've got a bit of time to kill and don't want to sink multiple hours into something story-based or my MLB franchise.

Anybody have any tips on blocks and reversals?

I've played for an hour and it's already getting samey.

Seeing lots of this already, on day one of early release.  Not good but also not terribly surprising.

Everything I've seen and heard the past month points to this being more of a party game/online game, especially if Stadium Stampede ends up being as chaotic/fun as it can be and not filled with people cheesing.

But for those without friends who can play or who are averse to playing online, this is just something that would be tough to justify full price.  Always possible new modes, creation options, and a host of other things that would naturally extend the 1P experience for a wrestling game get rolled out eventually, but I can't blame anyone for taking the wait and see approach.  Especially in a world where certain gaming companies (looking at you, EA Sports) openly don't give a shit about offline players.

I'm definitely fence sitting, leaning on the not-buy-for-now side of things. It feels to me that they honestly spent too much time and money on the graphics instead of fully leaning into the gameplay. They weren't going to compete with EA for the graphic realness so why not lean the otherway and leave the graphics retro and spend more time beefing these other parts of the game up. I guess that is Fire Pro style territory but an AEW Fire Pro Game with the same zany arcadiness sounds amazing

On my first play through of Road to Elite, and I'm not sure if it goes the same way every time yet, but I just won the World Tag Titles as Cash Wheeler with Nick Jackson as my partner. I didn't win the Casino Battle Royale in my first match, and was then put into a program with Nick as an opponent first, then as a partner.

While I really wish there was a Universe type mode for me to dive into, I'm enjoying the gameplay and likely to go through RTE with several different wrestlers. Add to that, the idea of just using Microsoft Word to keep track of things and just continually run massive tournaments should keep me quite happy with this.

I've already put more time into this than I did with WWE 2k22 when it was added to PS Plus Extra.

Max Caster revealed that the Acclaimed are on their way to Fight Forever, and they weren't part of the announced DLCs, so THQ and AEW already have additional stuff being planned out.

So far, the mini-games are a nice little break from the in-ring action, but I wish they'd give you a bit more on how to play them. I lost my first two because I had no idea what the fuck I was doing.

I got this discounted as I had points on Game Collection and I think that's where the game stands tbh. Like I've had fun but it's not something you could play for hours on end on your own. You could with friends and have a laugh but not by yourself  but I'm glad I didn't pay full whack for it.

It's a solid effort but not quite hitting the mark in some areas but at the same time it's going to be very much a mixed bag of it's either for you or it really isn't. Hopefully they can support the game and keep adding to it that way.
