Not sure if it's been mentioned in the build up but shout out to the last time we got Cardiff away in the 3rd round. This was when the final was still being held at The Millennium Stadium, leading David O'Leary to infamously predict that our FA Cup run would begin and end in Cardiff. He didn't know how right he was...

Some classic waffling from Jermaine Jenas, saying that Pep has always put his "strongest possible" eleven out for City in FA Cup matches, when even today there's been 7 changes from the last league match.

Just because they have better depth than most doesn't equal holding it in a higher regard than other teams.

The fawning over the "never gone out in the first round of any domestic cup" fawning was bad enough, he's managed at Barca, Bayern and City, unless they get a big side early on he never should.

Nah I'm sure Benidorm CF, L'Hospitalet, FC Nottingen and Swindon Town were all tough tests that Pep only weathered thanks to his messianistic skills as a manager.
