I Am Alive is fucking amazing. It's also an extremely hard game where wasting a single bullet can kill you.

Yup. Fantastic but I got caught at a place where there's a tricky battle with three guys where two have guns and I have no bullets. When you die you end up going back quite a way and it's annoying to keep slogging through that bit in order to get a shot at getting past the three guys again, especially as it's been a while now so it's tougher to get the controls figured out.

Same thing has just happened in Persona 3. I've gone into Tartarus via staying in the school at night (we were looking for the missing girl), then you go through stuff in Tartarus, find her, more stuff then battle these two bosses who are pretty tough. I've died a few times there and then have to go back to the previous save which is a day before all of that (there's nowhere to save inbetween) and so there's a trawl through repeated dialogue, annoying easy monsters and general annoyance to get back there again. Nnngh.

The two bosses....is that the Emperor/Empress fight? I found that one to be pretty easy. And if that is the boss fight, that would explain why you can't save beforehand.

Boss hints!

Get Fuuka, the most annoying person in the game, to scan both enemies to find their weakness. Empress will be weak to physical attacks, emperor will be weak to magic attacks. You can go hard after one, or try and knock both of them down for an all-out attack.

Oh I get her to do that but...

They have the power to change their weaknesses and do it all the time. I guess I should be more patient. Emperor has a couple of tough attacks too. It's hard to keep up with the healing.

Healing can be a pain in that fight. It's just you, Akihiko and Junpei, right? i would say you focus on healing + buffing, while letting those two focus more on the offense.

Ended up deciding to preorder Tomb Raider and GoW for PS3. I wasn't sold on GoW, but I thought the demo was quite fun and I'm interested in how the MP will turn out.

Give it time. Plenty of US Plus titles have ended up on the European Instant Game Collection a month or two later.

If you keep your eyes open you can get spec ops for less than 4€ on Steam. I think i got it on GMG around chrissmass for 3,60€ and i doubt that any computer is not able to run it.

So happy it has Snap-To Aiming (or whatever they call it), as I don't exactly have cat-like reflexes when it comes to shooters.

Separate note: would anyone happen to have the Pro Guitar that was released for Rock Band 3 collecting dust? Short Girl & I are contemplating going for the platinum, and that is mainly what is keeping us.
