Good idea. The concept of a reserve team has been outdated for some time, and most players coming out of the U18s aren't ready for the first team yet. It's better to give those too old for U18s football more time and a more suitable competition.

They only set up the national Reserves league like a year ago. I would assume not...

From what I understand, yeah, the reserve league is done.

Yeah the Premier Reserve League is no more. Other reserve leagues will obviously continue.

Pretty much just under 21's plus two or three senior players and a keeper getting their fitness back. So its reserves with a silly name. To emphasise, its reserves.

Chelsea's poor pre-season ended today with an even more awful 3-1 loss to Brighton (and yes, we were playing our first team), being our third straight loss out of four. Looking forward to getting spanked in the Community Shield next weekend.
