Wow, two late goals from the US (92nd) and (93rd) give the US the win against Panama and absolutely CRUSH Panama .... because before that Panama was winning and was going to go to the World Cup over Mexico (who lost to Costa Rica tonight). Freaking gutted for Panama ... just, wow.

Although, listening to the Mexican commentators go absolute ape shit and lose it as they reported the US goals might have been the greatest thing I've ever heard.

Now Mexico has to play New Zealand to see who goes.

It's so completely embarrassing for Mexico that they got saved by a USA b-team with absolutely nothing to play for beyond trying to get a spot on the World Cup roster that it's kind of funnier than if they'd gone out tonight. Mexico/New Zealand is fun because there are clear positives either way; Mexico winning is good for CONCACAF, Mexico losing is just funny.

Very sad for Panama, though. To go from having made it to the playoff vs. New Zealand to out of qualification in the very last minute, ouch.

Chile and Ecuador are through too, Uruguay in the play-offs despite beating Argentina.

Uruguay became the Unofficial Football World Champions with that win too. If they can keep hold of it until England play them next year, we'll have a chance to take the title and go into the World Cup as Champions! (Unofficialy )
