Speaking of Rooney and England. If everyone is fit, does he even get in that team? I know he will get in the team because he's Wayne Rooney and captain, but the thought of a Sturridge and Kane front 2 sounds very exciting.

I know Rooney is injured but he still has more chance of being fit than Sturridge.

I think if he continues the form he recently was in, then he shades Sturridge on experience alone. But at least now we have our 'will x player be fit for the Euros' story we can all hear about for the rest of the season!

Rooney being injured for two months means he currently is fitter than Sturridge.

Well we aren't short for strikers. Welbeck is back from injury, Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge if he's fit. 

I would have any of them four up front on their own or any combination of them four before Rooney.

It was a hypothetical question where everyone is fully fit and it's not infeasible to suggest that Sturridge could could be fighting fit for 3(+) games in June.

Sturridge and Kane, with Vardy/Welbeck coming off the bench seems like much more exciting options than Rooney at the minute.

Rooney will play for England if he's anywhere near fit. Which is a real shame as I think we'd have more balance and pace without him quite often.

Because if he's fit, he scores goals. It's keeping him fit that's the tricky part.

I've heard that England cricket team have been speaking to Gerrard's agents for him to play in the summer. They want someone who's good in the slips.

He's not done more than a whole team. :/

Number of Tottenham players who won trophies during Steven Gerrard's playing career: About 40, perhaps?  

Pretty resounding defeat for Gerrard there. :/
