It's also funnier that they hard-sell it at exactly the time in playing 2K17 where I can pretty efficiently get VC from game to game on my own.

I saw it all over the pre-match studio (and the "brought to you by" screen) and thought "wow, this is quite sickening." Having them during the game as well is just ridiculous though, anyone who wants to make such a big purchase will do so from the main menu, everyone doesn't need reminding about it.

Decided to pick the game up again and play a bunch of MyTeam Domination, since that's the only thing that I can tolerate about the game.

Dropped 3200MT to get Amethyst Yao Ming off the auction house, and good god almighty he's one cheeselord of a player. If you get him in the post, there are only few players that can even stop him from just barging towards the basket and getting a standing dunk off. And when he misses, he just grabs the rebound because he's 7'6 and he's 88/90 rebounding. On top of that, 86 free throw which means he makes every foul shot ever with no issues.

Feeding him all the badges he still misses (pick pocket, hustle rebounder, brick wall, etc.) which will turn him into a cheat player, arguably.

Also got Kyle Korver from the Hawks domination, and he's got a Dynamic Duo with Quentin Richardson which gives them both 90+ three point shooting. And Q-Rich starts out with gold Catch and Shoot and corner specialist, which makes him filth when you get dribble penetration with a quick guard, decided to give him pick & pop and difficult shots too, since his athleticism makes him really useful in messing up slower defenders. Korver has no badges, but I'm also planning on giving him C&S en Corner specialist, so I'll always have two deadly shooters on the wing during pick and roll situations.

Currently got Jay Williams as my PG still, but I really want to get someone else for the role, someone I actually care for. Preferably strike lucky and find a Moments Yogi Ferrell who has sick speed, playmaking, and of course shooting, or a guy that has HOF dimer since I run pick and rolls all day anyways.

Because I get frustrated with the AI's stupidity and the league being a complete mess within five seasons. The drafts are bloated, free agents are either too cheap or too expensive for no reason, and experience matters nothing because the moment anyone turns 32 they fall down the stairs and become burdens. I have too much demands for the mode, and the knowledge in that they can't deliver ruins my fun before it even gets a chance to start.

Decided to get off my high horse, and actually try MyLeague again.. With the 'Simworld' sliders. Two extra teams added to the mix in the new Sonics (same colours, but different jerseys), and the Vancouver Ravens that has shifted the Pels into the east (RIP, South-East)

Made it so that teams could reserve 9 players, which means that the expansion draft was nice and slim in terms of bankable talent. A bunch of oldies in there, and some second rate talent, with the most notable kid being Mudiay... Anyways, here's how the draft went for both teams...

Supersonics (Jersey)
PG: Mudiay, T. Burke, Ulis
SG: Meeks, Brogdon, McGruder
SF: D-Will, Finney-Smith, Covington
PF: D. Lee, Motiejunas
C: Ezeli, Muscala

Ravens (Jersey)
PG: Rondo, Galloway, Ish Smith
SG: T. Allen, A. Burks, Roberson
SF: Swaggy, G. Green
PF: Harrell, Patterson
C: Speights, Pekovic, JaVale

I'm playing the Ravens, and I took Swaggy P as my first pick because I really wanted a guy that can drain shots. So that meant Mudiay slipped to #2, but I'm not fussed because I got a few young guys, namely Harrell whom I hope to turn into a good power forward. Also, since the reserve list was 9 players the draft was filled with old guys so I just looked for role players like Tony Allen and Roberson who can lock stars down and help me grind games.

I doubt I'll get anywhere near the playoffs though, tanking awaits.
Also, draft talent is set to 0, so high picks are gonna be worth fighting for.

Maybe he's grinding VC by letting the game run 12 minute games in the background?

I'm not playing so much as just putting CPU v CPU games on to have something happening in the background, and occasionally barging my way in to "help" a losing team in the 4th quarter. I'm actually very poor at the game.

 

EDIT: And yeah it does help with VC, but I have 200k of it now and nothing left to spend it on.
