Losing him will be a big blow to Norwich, but Delia Smith and Stuart Webber have already said that buying new players isn't as feasible right now, so they kind of need the money to re-invest and have a hope of actually staying up.

I agree, a potential second round match against Poland or Sweden would bring much higher expectations than facing the Group F runner up, or whichever group winner they'd face should they scrape through in 3rd place.

Listening through some Theory of a Deadman to see if they have any good songs and it continues to astound how misogynistic most of these songs actually are.

Similarly, I imagine Man Utd isn't really on the cards because Raiola is his agent.

Go on, have a quiz. I got 189 because I'm amazing at forgetting people I really shouldn't (a certain legendary racist and a famously racially abused legend), including pretty much all of the World Cup 2018 squad. My peak is around the 98-2000 squads.

I got 224, including completing the Euro 2000 squad. The weird thing about that is the first tournament I remember was the 2002 World Cup. Similarly to @Malenko, I can see a clear peak between 96 and 06. 2010 isn't too bad but then it just keeps getting worse until I rebound with the 2018 WC squad.

I think it should be measured from the feet, personally. They're the most important body part in the sport, where the players will most likely be putting their force/body weight, and can be objectively measured against from the relevant angle. Chilwell's shoulder being a centimetre past Soyuncu's elbow doesn't have any bearing on how the ball ended up in the net 30 seconds later, much less so than the goal at the other end.

I've seen takes that the rules clearly dictate which goal should and shouldn't have stood, and that that's why Leicester won, but those rules (and the way they're implemented on the pitch) clearly need reassessing when every other game seems to result in these kind of discussions nowadays.

Twitter is ablaze with trending comments that Chelsea were the first team to withdraw but BBC Sport is saying "Man City withdraw from the ESL, Chelsea set to follow". How odd.

I've never really played (or enjoyed) online games. The only things I'd say I'm exceptionally good at in any video game are lockpicking and archery in Skyrim.

Remove BG looks amazing. I only found out about it last week but it has the potential to revolutionise graphic requests in the TEWR section.

The question here is will they already be relegated this time next year or will it go down to the final day?

More investment is needed to make Norwich a team capable of staying in the PL and I can't see that happening in a mid/post Covid environment.

It'll be a no from me, I just can't get into the Thing concept.

Maybe we need to nominate someone to be in charge of the most accurate chart, ala @Mx. Canadian Destroyer before.  That way people sitting 4-5 aren't crapping when people pass that want to be removed.

Perhaps it should be included in the responsibilities of the previous game runner? That way one person doesn't get lumbered with it even if they aren't participating any more.

We're still waiting on confirmation either way from @Krabby but otherwise it seems like @Azazel is ready to go.

Finally caught up on MCU films for the first time ever after having watched both Spider-Man movies (and all of WandaVision) over the Easter weekend. Now I finally understand many of the last decade's memes that previously only had context from the memes themselves.

An important aspect of international football that hasn't been mentioned yet, from the players' perspective at least, is proving that you're the best player in your position. Becoming a regular starter in that position proves you're a/one of the best in your country, winning a tournament kind of proves that you're a/one of the best in the world/whichever area the tournament covers.

For some, that aspect certainly ties into proving yourself more valuable at a club level. For others, well, just look at how lost in the moment many France players were after the last World Cup Final, or San Marino players after they managed to draw two games in a row for the first time ever.

ITV's coverage of these three England games has been a bit bland though. Neither of Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon are the most engaging commentator, and the only punditry change was Ashley Cole replacing Eni Aluko after the San Marino game. A little more variety in that lineup would've helped make these games feel a bit more entertaining, I feel.

Playing FM09 and just discovered that Jack Rodwell has dual English-Brazilian nationality despite that apparently not being the case IRL. Tempted to start up a new save as Brazil, try to cap him, and make him the new Dunga.

Good news everyone (especially @Forky)! I've re-jigged the PL Mafia roles to make it work with 15 players, which means we only need 5 more signups to play that version. Signups will remain open until Saturday afternoon regardless as I'm busy that morning and wouldn't get much time to send out role PMs on weekday evenings.

Currently 11 players short of the PL mafia game. I'll leave signups open until noon on Saturday (UK time).
