The only video game based thing I have to look forward to on Netflix in the future is the upcoming Tomb Raider anime they’re making, based off the recent trilogy. Honestly can’t wait for that.

That whole family is a head-scratcher. There’s this, Charlie being….well, Charlie, and Martin sometimes being great but also being a 9/11 truther. Joe manages to look good - in spite of a Z-list career - just by virtue of few people knowing anything about him besides doing weird movies.

Joe is the Bestevez

Arcane on Netflix is just so good. I'm not sure if I'm biased because I played League of Legends for years, but my goodness.

Nah, it’s awesome regardless of how much one has played League

Watched Squid Game with the other half. Was great. Came to gatekeeping weeaboo dorks whining on other places about the dub being bad. I watched with both dub on and sub together, both were fine. Watch whatever way makes you happy, but it's a definite suggestion to watch.

I'm not as high on Ted Lasso as others around here - I enjoy it, but it's not GREAT or anything. But I saw this new episode was about Coach Beard and I just nope'd right out. No interest in an episode that's specific to his character. Big ol' meh on that.

I'm watching the S2 premiere of The Morning Show. I'm almost done with it and it's not as good as anything in the first season, but I also had to tough it out through the first episode or two of the first season. It's definitely one of those slow burner shows. I didn't know Hasan Minhaj was in this season, either!

Oh, yeah - I started Deadwood last week. So that's my new bingewatch after I finished Justified.

is The Morning Show season 2 worth it in the end? i had season 1 on in the background and it was just fine.

I stopped mid-season and I haven't felt the urge to really go back and watch it. If that tells you anything. I think "I had it on in the background" is this show in a nutshell.

Also, Jon Stewart isn't nearly as funny as I remember, and with myself being so far left these days... his new show does absolutely nothing for me. At all.

Now, Another Life on Netflix on the other hand... I love this fuckin' show.

Dave's attempt at replacing Taskmaster is alright. Outsiders puts 6 comedians in three teams of two against each other to win badges from David Mitchell in a series of camping/outdoors-y related tasks.

There's a lot of recapping and previewing in each episode but hopefully future series will sort that out - the first series had Ed Gamble and Lou Sanders, Kerry Godliman and Toussaint Douglass and Jessica Knappett and Jamali Maddix.

I haven't finished it yet, but it's alright. Weirdly i think Mitchell is my least favourite part. He doesn't really do anything? Could do with a more authoritarian host, or perhaps someone who is actually outdoorsy. Having someone who hates the outdoors judging people who are shit at the outdoors just doesn't really work  the show is alright though

He's the weakest part of the show I think, but the only thing that actively annoyed me about the show is all the padding - the extended intro every episode, the previewing and reviewing of each part every ad break. It's like it's a show that either needs to be shorter or have another task in each episode.

The fireside chats are good at offering padding and content, more stuff like that might be nice.

A while ago I learned Joe Estevez was the subject of a book called "Wiping Off The Sheen".

Of the little bits I've actually seen of the book via Google Books: he would rather porn stars did mainstream film work instead of pornography. He also dislikes working with little people because he thinks they upstage him.  And unsurprisingly, he isn't too fond of MST3K.

So, I guess... he still comes out better?

Emilio said he's not dropping out of the series because he's an anti-vaxxer. He's suffering from `Long Haul Syndrome'. <_<

Also, if anyone watches 9-1-1...... (Don't read if you haven't watched the latest episode):

Spoiler

They wrote Michael out because Rockmond Dunbar, who plays Michael, was refused both medical and religious exemptions from the vaccine mandate. (But he says he's not an anti-vaxxer.)

So, I finished Another Life this morning. I liked it a lot, but if it doesn't get a Season 3, at least it wrapped up the story it started with. There are other places to go after the S2 finale, but as far as I can remember, there aren't any lingering questions when everything wraps up. Certainly feels like they don't expect to get renewed.

I now need another (recent) sci-fi show. I was going to start Stargate, but it's so undeniably 90s, but it also goes deeper than the movie does.
