WWE 2K23

I could easily buy that roster as legitimate.  They more than likely finalized their roster sometime around WrestleMania season as they normally do, anticipating the usual fall release that eventually got pushed back.

It's not unusual for released talent to remain in the game and you can pretty well figure why certain decisions were made.

Bray Wyatt was likely too much of a "big name" for WWE to want attached to its game when he's not with the company any more.  If memory serves, there were reports out last spring that Daniel Bryan was being removed from future projects for much the same reason, and that's before he even went to AEW.

Then you have Adam Cole, Aleister Black, Andrade, Bobby Fish, Ruby Riott, and Tony Nese as talents that were all probably meant to be in the game but they debuted with AEW throughout summer and fall with enough time to remove them.  Whereas Keith Lee, Kyle O'Reilly, and Murphy showed up with AEW too recently.  And AEW is the only company big enough where WWE wouldn't want those guys in their game, hence signings for Impact etc being allowed to stay.

I haven't checked it again to confirm but it's similar. This list has more people (or at the very least more gimmicks of the same people).

How...how is Mia Yim rated lower as Reckoning?  Was Retribution that bad and being in it made her worse?

That's 100% how Retribution worked, yes.

I'm secretly hoping the game designers don't know Mia Yim is Reckoning and have them do stuff together in the career mode.

Didn't one of the career modes have Candice Michelle use a magic wand to turn you into a woman?  Would a person interacting with themselves really be that out there?

The last WWE game I played still had ECW in it, so I'm maybe not the best person to ask. That does sound funny though.

Meh, loads have games have had 4 Mick Foleys in, 2 Mia Yims is not enough in my eyes.

The new combo system looks proper shite and a real step back. You shouldn’t have to pause the game to look up how to do certain moves and try and remember a combination. That’s one thing I used to hate about the Warzone/Attitude games when I was younger.
