Eagles have gone something like 0-3 since I bought my ticket for the Christmas Day game.

I've also become less excited to attend that game...

They had every chance in the world to tie that game since Seattle was going to play back to prevent a TD. With 13 seconds you can easily run 2 quick 10-12 yd plays and set Elliot up for a 50 yardsr.

If there's any silver lining for the Eagles, they likely control their own destiny.  I say likely because if both teams win out it's gonna go all the way down to the 5th tiebreaker (strength of victory) and while it technically could shift to Dallas it would take a lot of bad teams winning in the final 3 weeks to beef up the win percentage.

I don't care that the Giants have won 3 of 4, they never beat the Eagles and really don't seem they'd have the pieces necessary to hang with them.  The Cardinals game wedged in between the Giants games might cause them more trouble because Gannon should be as prepared as anyone to figure out a defensive gameplan.

NFC East winner vs. crappy 7th seed and NFC East runner-up vs. crappy NFC South winner doesn't sound like a particularly compelling first round slate

I mean, I said something similar a couple of weeks ago, but this was bound to happen. Out of 10 Eagles victories, 7 ended in a one score win. Early in the season its easy to get through this kind of stuff when everyone is fresh and healthy, but that just can't keep going into the end of the season when your team is worn out and you're losing pieces to injury. 

You know what happens when you don't adjust early enough to prevent this? You lose to Drew Lock.

A major AFC matchup between the Browns & Texans at 1pm today with implications for the Ravens' hunt for the division title OR Jets-Commanders. 

We get Jets-Commanders. Kinda wish they'd fuck off to VA so we could maybe possibly be out of their "secondary media market".

Wow and the game has turned out to be a total laugher in favor of the Jets which is a double whammy since I'm up against Breece Hall in the fantasy playoffs.

Well holy fuck. The Lions are division champions. 

I'm 38, so while I was alive for the last one, it wasn't until 94 or so that I started watching every game. This is so cool, I love this team. They're such a cool group of guys and Dan Campbell is loveable.

For how wild the AFC playoff picture looked 2 weeks ago it feels like it's down to Bengals/Steelers for that 7th wild card spot. AFC South champ will be that division's only representative, and is likely getting rewarded with one of the Bills/Dolphins/Browns.

The Chiefs/Raiders game has been some of the best Nuffle I've seen in years. Fantastic christmas entertainment.

Id say it's a Christmas miracle, but I just don't think the Chiefs are actually that good this year. They don't handle adversity well, particularly when they aren't getting bailed out by the refs like they're accustomed to.

Kansas City's offense is just not that good anymore, and it doesn't appear they've drafted particularly well on offense in a number of year. Bad line, bad skill positions, etc.

At least their defense will be good for a few years it seems, plenty of times to put enough around Mahomes (it isn't much!) to contend for another Super Bowl.

You can’t convince me the NFL isn’t an easy sport to rig when the refs can willingly ignore blatant pass interference (or throw the flag on extremely borderline calls)

Anyway, at least it was a close and watchable game instead of a blowout
