Shocking all the way through this first half. No idea how we were infront, we've barely been in their third. McNair has been dreadful in possession and the rest of the team haven't been much better. Apart from Carrick, who looks as calm and composed as everyone else put together.

To be fair, the lad has done reasonably well this season, mostly in a back 4 though. He's just not looked comfortable tonight. Right decision to get him off.

Also, I know all the talk has been about Di Maria this season, but we always look so much better going forward whenever Herrera is in the side.

McNair has looked good in previous games but tonight, he was at least two yards off the pace. Looked shaky under early pressure by the Southampton forwards and gave the ball away pretty much every time he had it.
