Okay I like Lady Gaga and think she's pretty funny and stuff so I thought I'd give the episode featuring her a go.

BUT IT WAS TERRIBLE.

I haven't seen any Simpsons episode from the last ten years or so and I don't plan to see anymore.

The only recent episode that I enjoyed - and I think everyone should see it - is the Holidays Of Futures Past from last season which was actually pretty excellent considering that they've done the whole "this is The Simpsons in the future" thing about a million times now.

The Book Job was a really good episode from last season, have you seen that? That and Holidays Of Future Passed are best Simpsons episodes of recent seasons.

Was that the Neil Gaiman one? I seem to remember thinking the episode was the best they've done since season 12's 'Trilogy of Error'.

The Color Yellow and Coming to Homerica are other good examples of recent quality episodes.

I maintain that since the switch to HD, the show has been much, much better. Not as good as like, pre series 10, but better than the in between years.

It does still have it's really bad episodes (Donnie Fatso) every now and then, but more often than not the show is decent to great these days.

I think it's a myth that The Simpsons has become poor, it's not as good as it once was but it's very rare I watch a new episode and think "that was awful".

I can guarantee you that was one of the worst episodes I've seen, for the most part the show is still good with the occasional bad or great episode.

A lot of people liked "The Book Job" from this past season. I also enjoyed "A Totally Fun Thing That Bart Will Never Do Again."

I watched the Stonecutter's episode forthe first time in like 12 years and knew 98% of the dialogue.
