Mum enjoyed the game. Even though I had to explain many thing's football and non football related.

Expected the win and good to see. Be more interested to see how they will perform in their upcoming games.

I think FIFA want longer added on in general due to the ball in play argument recently. 10 does feel a tad excessive mind you, but could be something to expect more of.

14 in the first half for the head injury I get but this seems a bit much for the second half to be 10 minutes

Qatar has made it clear they're going to be forcing the referees to add a lot of stoppage time for substitutes. Saw a thing saying to expect 5+ every match no matter what. But this is excessive.

That was a much better performance from England than I was expecting. I'll be interested to see how they get on against the other teams in the group, who should provide more of a challenge.

They won their qualifying group ahead of South Korea and beat Uruguay in a warm-up match a couple of months ago. All the talk was that this was the best Iranian team at a World Cup so far.

Not that I'm unhappy that the matches are badly attended, but it stings even more for the exploited workers that building all these big stadiums has been such a waste.
