I've had a busted 360 sitting in my closet for a couple years now... it's not RROD, it even turns on and I can hear it, but there's no visual. Not the cables, I've tried different ones and the only suggestion I've seen after a Google search is to try to force a RROD and either send it in or hope for the best. It's way past warranty, I just wanted to see if I could fix it and hook it up in another room as a backup. Or a way to play while my wife is watching terrible TV in the living room.

I finished Spec Ops today. Doesn't do anything amazingly innovative gameplay-wise, but it looks amazing, and good god, is it ever the strongest story I've seen in an FPS for quite some time.
