That was rough. And then his friend realized he fucked up and wasn't going to see his kid again. That one hurts. Ever since having a kid, stuff like that affects me a whole lot more.

I hate it when a cancelled show ends on a cliffhanger. Whiskey Cavalier did just that.

(ABC considered uncancelling it, but decided not to.)

Feels so great to have Shane Meadows back directing TV, I thought the first episode of The Virtues was excellent; brutal, hard-to-watch, had my heart in its hands. It's not paced like your standard TV show and I find that exciting - I feel like he's working in the medium of TV to really get the best out of its format and I'm really intrigued to see where the story goes.

Jesus, Years and Years just continues to be incredibly bleak. It's great TV, but God it's hard work.
