Always nice to score 5 goals even if it is against a weakened Swansea team. But I very much doubt any more than a small percentage of fans will be hailing this as anything special. Just glad to see us playing well; the build-up for Enrique's goal was fantastic. I think we're around about the same points as at the same stage last season now, but it feels like we've played a lot better this season and we actually look like we've got a plan, which was never really the case under Kenny.

Borini is out for the season as well after getting injured today.

Perfect day for Liverpool!

Poor Borini. He's got great movement but that's about it.

In response to Pesci: we are 7 points better off than we were at this point last season.

We have 39 points, the same we had in matchday 27 last season

Is there really somewhere that does the like-for-like comparison? I've been tallying it myself all season because I was sick of hearing that we were worse off than we last season, when we'd played harder fixtures.

I dunno. I too just work it out myself whenever the matter comes up (via a couple of minutes spent with an Excel spreadsheet and www.statto.com's result lists).

Lads!

I was wondering, I like it that Feyenoord plays with at least 9 Dutch guys in their starting 11 most of the time and I think that teams need to do that. But sometimes I look at the starting players from teams in the premier league and I can't understand were are most of the english guys? Doesn't that annoy you guys?

It's a nice idea, but in recent years I find that I identify far more with the educated intelligent foreign players than I do with moronic English players (Danny Simpson I'm looking at you). Shola excepted of course since he wears glasses and has recently become foreign, plus Steven Taylor who's a lovable oaf. Oh and Perchy. Basically I like ego-less backup Englishmen.
