A relegated club would also scare off investors.

Nobody wants to invest now either. Which I find weird, were the biggest football club in the 2nd biggest city in England. Why doesn't anyone want to buy us? Investors would rather go to fucking Hull and Manchester than us.

Manchester is argubly the 2nd most important city in England.

And you have to wonder why Everton have never attracted serious takeover plans too.

Isn't Everton's stadium falling apart? Probably has something to do with it.

And what's so important about Manchester?

Goodison Park does need doing up, and/or a new stadium which could be a stumbling block. But the initial investment should be low enough and an established brand like Everton, you would have thought after being on the market for so long they would have been at least been serious talks about a change of management there.

Manchester is the fasting growing and improving big city in many areas in the UK and has been for nearly 20 years.

Of course it is in terms of football. Bigger city, more population, more potential fans etc.

Don't wanna keep dragging this on though.

If you're talking in terms of a new owner coming in to exploit the size of a potential fanbase aren't you completely ignoring two other clubs in spitting distance and a load more in the surrounding area? The likes of Abramovich don't go to London because it's big, they go because it's London.
