That wasn't very fun to watch, felt queasy the whole way through.

It's still all to play for though, that was definitely must not lose rather than must win. International break comes at the right time and Norwich game is huge in two weeks!

Skrtel's performance is very much like that horrible Sahko one from a while ago where he came back from injury and was just atrocious.

Benteke should've scored. Feels like a mix of post-Europa League hangover, rusty players and the old "Simon Mingolet lets in any shot on target",

And nothing to do with Southampton being a really good team, and maybe, just better than Liverpool?

Oh and one more thing, I like the idea of Anita as our starting right-back. Provided much more than Janmaat in terms of ball distribution and actually went to the byline.

The only thing Anita lacks is height, but given how useless Janmaat is on the back stick it probably doesn't matter. Certainly a far better player and more likely to make stuff happen. It helped that Sunderland barely attacked but Sissoko did more at left back than he has anywhere else this season. He's the new Pancrate.

For an experienced ref Martin Atkinson is horrendous at dealing with time wasting, absolutely pitiful at times. 4 minutes, and a single booking on 90 mins in a game with time wasting from the first kick.

First half we were all over them and could have been more than 2 goals up. Second half they looked dangerous but if you saw any of the second half then you would have seen just how terrible Skrtel was. Gave a pen away and is at fault for two of the three goals they scored. I can't remember him winning any tackles, winning any headers or blocking any shots. Benteke had a great chance to put us 3-1 up as well but as expected he fucked that up.

Southampton didn't deserve to lose after their performance in second half but we were all over them first half and dominating the game and a draw would have been a fair result considering how both teams played and how even it was over 90 minutes. Lovren being taken off completely changed the game.

Sissoko needs to play on the center, and be given freedom to float around the wings, not be stuck on the left/right for the 90 mins. But that's not exactly going to happen seeing that we have 20 center midfielders and Townsend is our only actual option on the flanks. Cash in on Moussa in the summer (if we survive) and sign a proper player on the left.
