We've been awful though. Lingard, Mkhi, Rooney all shit. First 15 or so, it was just City playing well, but we just couldn't keep the ball. Got fortunate to get one back, and we surely won't be as bad 2nd half. I'd take a point now but there will surely be more goals. I think we'll need 2 more to even get a draw.

Don't get why Jose went with Pogba and Fellaini as the midfield pairing. Pogba works best in a three man midfield, if you're going to play him in a two then the last fucking person you want partnering him is Fellaini. Glad to see Herrera on as it'll give Pogba more freedom now.

Bailly definitely fouled Otamendi on that scramble, but it evens out because Bravo definitely should've been called for a penalty on that loose ball slide against Rooney.

Yeah Bailly on Otamendi was a pen. Bravo on Rooney was too. Possibly a red for the lunge as well.

City did enough to deserve to win. We simply weren't good enough first half.

Eh, cracking game to be fair. First half cost us massively. Players on both sides looked absolutely knackered. Probably doesn't help having an early Saturday kick off when some players only got back in the country in the early hours of Friday.

But another 90 minutes of Wayne Rooney contributing absolutely nothing. At this point, I'm convinced it's written into his contract that he plays every game.

Realistically, this game should tell Jose that Lingard, Blind and Rooney don't feature in our best 11. Fellaini did alright again but, aside from his aerial presence, I'm not sure what he offers that Schneiderlein doesn't do better.
