I can only assume the goal line technology has failed for the first time ever. Ref's watch will buzz when the ball crosses the line to let him know to award a goal.

Did they forget to turn it on? Maybe turn it off and on again.

I think it might not be working, which is why we haven't had the Hawkeye graphical representation we usually see on goal line decisions.

Wonder if it's just down to how close the ball was to the post as it crossed the line, plus the couple of players who end up bashing the post? Pure guesswork.

This is the problem when you rely on technology too much, the referee isn’t even looking out for those decisions anymore. It was blatantly over the line but... nope, the watch didn’t vibrate, no goal.
