Hawks move up in the draft and get their first ever number one overall selection.

Pistons fall to fifth for the third year in a row.

Jazz falk to tenth and barely keep their pick for this year.

I'm sure the Hawks will be happy, but I'm unreliably informed that this draft class is hardly spectacular. One year earlier and this kind of shock outcome would have had the conspiracy people going crazy.

I'd say the Pistons lack of lottery success is a punishment for their constant tanking, but I think the Wizards were a worse team barely trying from Game 1, so their #2 pick rewards the tanking concept.

Well, the Knicks’ lack of depth finally caught up with them today.  This was a rout straight out of the gate.

Given how close the rest of their playoff games have been, this blowout probably ensures that if they even get to the Eastern Conference Finals they’ll be carrying a negative point differential.

Meanwhile the Pacers are absolutely obliterating the Knicks and the reserves are already out for both sides. Saying that, Jericho Sims has just scored a follow-up dunk to cut the lead to 34 with 8 minutes remaining, so the comeback is on.

I don't really follow Basketball much but seeing stories like this one are quickly making Jokic my favorite player

If you really love Jokic he wouldn't be your favorite player because he doesn't want to be your favorite player. He wants to be your favorite Horse Girl.

Even as a Jazz fan, I love that story. In Rudy's defense, he is an amazing defender who had absolutely no help at all on the Jazz.

Shockingly, it's possible the defending champion Nuggets may be a better team than former Play In specialists the Timberwolves, especially when the referees seem to have been told to be much stricter than they were in the opening 2 games.

Nuggets in 6 seems a guarantee at this point.

Fun fact - the Timberwolves had the draft pick before the Nuggets selected Jokic in 2014, and we used it on Glenn Robinson III, currently starring for the G League's Wisconsin Herd.

Not to discount Jokic himself but it was a few years after that pick where he really looked like he'd be something. And for all we know a lot of that could be down to Denver's management with player development.

Also I wouldn't count Minnesota out yet, these series always follow ebbs and flows.

Yet another reminder that I am not allowed to watch the first 3 quarters of a Mavericks game, unless I’m there in person.   Just a miserable night at the line, doomed us in this game.

I'm really surprised the Knicks capitulated like that, I do have to wonder just how tired their starters are after mostly playing 40+ minutes for seven games.

No idea which Wolves side is going to show up tonight, maybe the team that can't shoot worth a damn, maybe the team that beats the defending champions by 45 points. Toss a coin, I guess.

This was basically the deciding factor. OG played 5 minutes, they had Brunson for 3 quarters and then he broke his hand, other guys just looked out of gas. Paired with Indiana hitting everything in sight, it was a bad mix.
