The Budweiser FA Cup

Only that its still under investigation but they've still heavily linked with Suarez ('fans possibly wearing Suarez shirts'), so there's some fair speculation. Otherwise makes my hatred of Liverpools horrendous handling of this greater every passing game.

Of course. Doesn't make it any less of a hate rag though. Surprised they're not pro football racism...

Yeh we don't support Kick it Out, we prefer keep it in because well you know the club, the players and the fans we are all racist.... <_<

I was talking about the Mail, not Liverpool, though I have made my views on the clubs actions perfectly clear. Equally condescending smily.

That article's disgusting to read. It's obvious a large percentage of Liverpool fans are nothing like that, but for fans to be wearing Suarez shirts - and to start chanting his name when it was kind of clear what the young player was upset about was really, really stupid. It's sad that racism has seemingly sprung back up into our game recently, it's terrible.

Subs: Gomes, Kaboul, Bostock, Carroll, Falque, Parrett, van der Vaart.

Its from the Daily Fail so take with a pinch of salt, but I don't remember many incidents of players crying after a coin throw...

Yet more bad PR.

It's not like the club can control idiot fans now is it?

One of the silliest things in that article is 'Liverpool fans wearing Luis Suarez shirts. Then they show a photo of fans said to be abusing Adeyemi and not a single Suarez shirt or scarf in the photo.

I then looked at the video (I was watching the game last night but my steam wasn't great and I didn't properly see this). There were what looks like three guys in Suarez shirts with scarfs and hats on. You can an official walking over towards them.

The Suarez chant flares up but that could just be poor timing since it was a break in play. Because they've been chanting his name a lot recently even when he hasn't been playing.

Hopefully those three guys that seem to be to blame get a deserving punishment.

Well yeah, I said that myself in my response to Linnacre.

But can they control idiot fans? To an extent yes. As you say if those fans are identified and deemed guilty punishment can be dealt out presumably in the form of bans and this particular incident can be written off. The issue for me, as I've stated several times is the lack of any kind of statement to try to prevent this vocal minority from continuing, be it this one, or the Collymore tweets, or whatever else we've had. From the second that the players wore the Suarez shirts these morons will have felt like the club were 'on their side' and its continued. I'm not saying that you can prevent idiots from being idiots (see the Prem thread for a story of a Northumberland lad being chased for similar tweets), but the club just haven't done anywhere near enough to say 'stop it, this is not what Liverpool FC is about'.

Edit: Grrrr, Badwillie!
