Because Busquets is quality and fits into Barcelona's system far better.

Got a good fee for him and think Barcelona were happy to have a Catalan have that position. Busquets is a great player for Barcelona, but Yaya is better; not that it has had too much of an adverse affect on Barca I suppose.

Why did Barca let him go?

Because he was an incredible player but didn't suit their style of play. Getting rid of him pretty much meant that they could get a proper defensive midfielder like Mascherano, instead of an attacking midfielder who was capable of playing in a few positions.

& Fair enough about Yaya, thought it was odd at the time but thought he might have peaked young but he's just getting better and better for City.
