Deadly serious. He did well at Sunderland and saved Leeds from relegation initially if I remember rightly.

I believe Neville's just earned his 'A' coaching badges, maybe he isn't a bad shout. I think it'd have to be somebody with a good knowledge of the Premier League and what Everton are all about though.

I think Phill Nevile is a better shout than Peter Reid. Clubs are going for younger managers in general at the moment. I imagine that Everton will follow suit.

I read the other day he was linked to jobs in the middle east. I imagine if such a thing happened he would take the big contract and retire afterward.

That is indeed the case, I would imagine. But I do accept that the media are always likely to turn to him now as they know it's an easy soundbyte/story to write.

I like Moyes and all but I really struggle to see why people see him as the natural successor to Alex Ferguson.

He's won nothing and has no experience managing in Europe.
