More racist comments about Chinese people.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been charged by the Football Association for a post on social media which appeared to contain anti-Semitic and racist references. The 24-year-old reposted an image of computer game character Super Mario on Instagram, which included the words "jumps like a black man and grabs coins like a Jew." The Italian tweeted to deny the post was offensive, before apologising. He has until 18:00 GMT on 15 December to respond to the charge.
Hull are under investigation by Uefa for possible breaches of financial fair play (FFP) rules, European football's governing body has announced. The Tigers, who played in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League, are among several clubs under scrutiny. The FA Cup runners-up must submit further information but do not face any immediate sanctions. Sparta Prague, Lyon, Panathinaikos, Ruch Chorzoow and Wolfsburg are also being investigated. Uefa has also extended investigations into Liverpool, Monaco, Roma, Inter Milan, Besiktas, Sporting Lisbon and Krasnodar.

Slightly unnerved that Chelsea will set a couple of club records if we don't lose today. This is surely the sort of thing that usually jinxes shit. :shifty:

* Chelsea would be 24 games unbeaten in all competitions (inc. the end of last season). They have previously reached 23 in 2007 and 2009.

* Chelsea would be 15 games unbeaten in top-flight league matches (since the start of the season). They have previously reached 14 in 1925.

The fact that we've lost both of our last two matches at Newcastle (plus we have a less-than-stellar run at Saturday lunchtime KOs) doesn't help either.

The main thing of course is what our midfield looks like with Matic suspended. With Ramires having a niggling thigh injury, the obvious seems to be a straight swap with Mikel - but in any case, our midfield would almost certainly be less effective because Matic has been a lynchpin throughout. Who knows.
