He didn't say it wasn't offside, he said he didn't see the touch, and neither did the officials. I did, though. It didn't seem that difficult to spot, although at pitch level, maybe it was.

The commentators on our broadcast said it was definitely offside but they also felt they couldn't be too harsh with the official because it was such a soft touch and if he wasn't 100% sure it happened, he shouldn't rule it out. Fence sitting commentators
