That was a mess of defending.

I think this flatters United though. Liverpool haven't been too awful bar a couple of defensive cock ups (Lovren and Moreno). I feel like a more confident Raheem Sterling scores at least one of those chances and Balotelli was unlucky.

The clinical finishing was really the major difference. United were pretty poor at most other things. It really shows the difference finishers and a goalkeeper worth his salt can make.

Cause to be honest, other than that United really weren't a class above Liverpool.
