Costa three match ban confirmed - but that's okay. It's not like anyone who isn't Papiss Cisse will be scoring when we play Newcastle anyway (hence a sure bet for 0-0 due to his injury).

Sure bet you say?

For Ferguson not to include Keane on that list really shows his pettiness. Stam and Van Nistelrooy probably miss out for the same reasons.

Maybe he considers not publicly questioning the manager's authority as a trait of a world class player?

That'd be a bit odd. Being a world class professional and player are separate.

They really aren't.

Paul Gascoigne? There's been plenty of world class players who have been a nightmare and unprofessional off the pitch!

Can we replay from half-time now then....?

Would be asking the same thing if it was the other way around?

Oh yes, most definitely...

We replayed that FA Cup game against Sheffield United that time though. ;) I'm sure Mourinho won't mind, will give him another victory over Wenger.

"Replay from half-time"

Remember, for example, how Suarez cost us points then got a 10 game ban, benefitting all of those 10 teams (including some of our direct rivals) but not Chelsea?

That's the way suspensions work. Live with it.

Seems to be 'players who could've signed for United' day in the papers. Apparently we were in for Kompany back in 2004, and David Seaman's come out and said he almost joined us in 1990 before signing for Arsenal. Great player, but if we'd had him we wouldn't have signed the best goalie in Premier League history at least in Peter Schmeichel.

Shocking as it may be, with a central midfield selection including Pirlo, Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Deco and Mikel...then Mikel would not be one of the three starters. :shifty:

Lampard - Pirlo - Essien in a 4-3-3. Or Ballack when Essien is inevitably injured for half the season.
