I am hoping Rodgers does go back to playing two up front once Sturridge is fit again. It seems like one up front is de rigueur at the moment.

Or at least we could play a proper 4-3-3 and not 4-1-4-1.

Half of the Spurs "fans" on Facebook are still slagging Lamela off despite him being very good again today for the second game in a row (and being good when he came on last week too). Some just don't like him. Fortunately the fans at WHL think otherwise and have been very supportive of him as they can see how hard he works, chases back and tries things even when it's not working for him.

 

He, Son and Eriksen are an excellent midfield three and all seem to strengthen each other. Also, Alderweireld and Vertonghen are a lush defensive pairing and Lloris is just immense.

Lamela was woeful today from what I saw. When he gets the ball he doesn't know what to do with it half the time and ends up giving it away. He also still gets muscled off the ball way too easy. Eriksen and Son were fantastic though. Spurs look infinitely more threatening when Eriksen is playing, he's so good.
