Obv not.

Finding out Timothy Weah is in fact the son of George is good though!

I remember looking him up a while ago and finding out he's a US international.

And also that his dad is President of Liberia.

I honestly don't see the point in complaining about which players you have/don't have available. It's always going to be the case after a major summer tournament.

My favourite bit is his complaint of "Liverpool First Team vs. Man United Kids."

Y'know, despite the average age of United's team being a year older than Liverpool's last night.

I don't understand why he doesn't just say 'Yeah, we had a young team, hopefully they will have learnt something and developed by playing with and against more experienced players' and then praised some of them for good passages of play or the free kick for example. Fucks sake mate, I'm a twat with a stopwatch and even I can find the positives in a performance when my little ones lose 7-0. It's like he's actively trying to turn the younger members of the squad against him.

By comparison, Pep has said that he's had a great time working with the Man City youngsters.

When (not if) Jose gets sacked this season, he needs to take a sabbatical, at least a year to eighteen months. Bloke is miserable and is a shell of his former self.

“This is not our team, this is not our squad. We start the game with almost half of the players, they aren’t going to belong to our squad. On August 9, many of them are not going to be here. This is not our squad,” Mourinho stressed.

Reinforcements? You are saying players I’d like to buy, like to add to the squad — that is another thing. But this is not my squad, this is not even half of my squad, this is not even 30 per cent of my squad, so don’t look to this that way.”

The pattern this time around with Manchester United is slightly different in that Mourinho failed to win the title in his second season with the club — a trend that forms part of the ‘third-season syndrome’ theory.

But by some accounts Mourinho has cut a sombre, moody figure in the US. So much so that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp quipped, “One of my biggest goals in life is to make Jose smile — it doesn’t happen very often”.

Over 100,000 fans filled Michigan Stadium to watch Liverpool and Manchester United play. In a remarkable post-match press conference, Mourinho said they shouldn’t have bothered.

“The atmosphere was good, but if I was them I wouldn’t come,” he said. “I wouldn’t spend my money to see these teams. For example I was watching Chelsea against Inter on television today. The people there decided the beach is better than this, so the stadium was empty.”
