Bale anonymous, Ramsey couldn't pick out a pass, James and Johnson never controlled the ball properly. Midfield didn't exist. Allen at fault for two goals in a short cameo.

Defence worked very hard, teammates should have risen to their level.

As an American, best result possible really. We just have to beat Iran and not get stuffed by England and we're through to the Knockouts.

At the risk of sounding like a bitter Welshman - the added on time is perhaps the worst part of this World Cup.

Not to take anything away from Iran though. They were miles better both halves.

Yeah the added time was annoying as fuck - but entirely correct if we’re basing it off the way the tournament has been refereed. 
 

Am just annoyed that we’ve cost ourselves by picking such tactically naive lineups in both games.

 I don’t even blame Wayne Hennessey for the red. The collision was bad, but the shapelessness which left him in a position where he was so exposed was dreadful.
