It got a bit better 2nd half, but the Swiss didn't really lay a finger on them.

Enjoyed the games today, I just hope the final game entertains. Bit concerning that neither have much pressure on them to go out and win it though.

Uruguay look completely bereft of attacking ideas, so this could be a very dull match.

Uruguay are held down by insisting on still starting one of Suarez or Cavani. They just don't have the legs, especially playing this super defensive style where then they're having to break at pace. They're more suited to a slower style in attack, Darwin pretty much only works if they're attacking fast. 

Their only hope is set pieces, and Cavani bringing long balls down to send Darwin/a streaking CM through.

Ronaldo wasn't actually hurt there. That was actually him having a tantrum on the ground because the stadium announcer declared it a Bruno Fernandes goal

I'm really sick of how VAR is being used, and how Fifa seemingly constantly change the rules of big laws like offside and handball. It's so, so tiring.

That was never a penalty at all.

I'd love to know why the referee was smirking so much before he gave the signal for the penalty. There's part of me that wonders if he didn't agree with the decision himself.
