Croatia has been doing better  the last 10 min or so.  Had a goal taken away due to an offside call.  But then got one just as I'm writing this.

Dawns on me it is highly possible zero CONCACAF teams make their way into the knockouts. Mexico are all but eliminated, Canada about to be the same, US need a win against a tough Iranian side, and Costa Rica need a result against Germany plus help.

Weird thing is googling the updated tables, they’ve already got Croatia listed with 4 points and Canada with a loss.

Yes it’s very likely, just jarring to see standings being updated while a game is still in progress.

Canada ultimately didn't have the quality this time round, but they're already guaranteed to be back at the next World Cup, at which point they ought to be in a better position. As hosts, they'll be seeded as well.
