Too many teams lose before they kick off against the top sides, it feels.

Yes, you are inferior in individual quality. But give it a go. Bournemouth were so infuriating against Arsenal yesterday, just sitting 11 deep and hoping the uncultured unit Kieffer Moore could hold it up every now and then (spoilers: he couldn't). Sit and invite pressure so the high quality attackers have lots of chances, which inevitably they will take. Arsenal won after 10 minutes in that one and it feels the same here.

Newcastle just sat off Bernardo, likely by design, allowing him to advance to the edge of the box and pick a pass without having to beat a single man. Then one defensive lapse means Gundogan has an easy goal.

Teams should try to play to their own strengths more so than cowering before all the big teams and try to employ low block/counter attack tactics as default.

This was a shit post that aged badly. Newcastle have been good the last 10-15 mins and have an equaliser.

Welp, that's this one done.
