Reports suggesting Rooney could be out for upto 8 weeks with the gash on his leg. He had to go under general anaesthetic and required one long weaving stitch inside his leg to tie the wound and an additional further 10 stitches to pull the skin together. He also had to stay in hospital overnight. Bad news for us, but hopefully he has a speedy recovery and comes back better than ever.

Trying to find out about Lucas on Twitter and apparently it was the youngest starting XI we've fielded since December 2003, and that was before the 20-year old Shelvey came on to replace the 25-year old Lucas in the 5th minute! Pretty cool, especially considering how well we played.

It said "Villa La Ñata", and it's a poor village around here in Buenos Aires, he sponsors a different village every week if he scores a goal, the shirt is to indicate which village does. He said it was to remember his roots and the kids could play futbol.
