Sanchez is ahead of Barkley on the depth chart and has been running the second-string offense, but hes been missing throws and throwing interceptions.

Well at least Sanchez is in mid season form

Cool that its being run during the NBA game tonight. That commercial is fairly old though. I think I remember reading they were trying to get the network to run it during the Super Bowl, but it was refused

So I stopped to get some pizza tonight and the guys at the pizza shop were talking about football...actually had this conversation

Guy at the counter: The Bears backup last season on point! What was his name?

Me, standing behind him: Josh McCown

Guy: Yea, thats it! He still with the Bears or he go somewhere else?

Me: ...I heard he signed with the Bucs

I'm somewhat torn on the Redskins name. Well, not really, because it's racist as shit, but it's also iconic, and I can't imagine the NFL team in Washington having another name.

It's not as bad as the Compton High School Tarbabes, though.

There's a high school in Massachusetts with "Brownies" as a nickname. According to my cousin up there.

A number of schools in the country apparently use "Savages" still as well.

Yeah that shit needs to end.

I hope Adam Schefter gets buried in 5 feet of snow

why?

Sorry - just saw this.

It was more a joke on his height than anything - he's a very small dude, and very insecure about it. You can look around online and find examples of it, I know Barstool has had some stuff in the past.

Beyond the lighthearted joke, something about him, can't quite put my finger on it, just annoys me.

Edit: This is actually what I came in here to post. Evan Mathis is great: http://www.crossingbroad.com/2014/06/evan-mathis-completely-punked-the-media-again.html

I dropped into this thread because the issue has received a bit of coverage here and I was interested in what you guys thought about it. I mean, maybe I'm not able to appreciate the significance of it in a way that Americans can, but I do find it a bit horrific that a team can have that logo and that name nowadays and people think it is okay.
